You may not expect to find great Thai food in such a remote mountain resort, but you'll be glad you stumbled upon Khao Neaow, which translate to "sticky rice" and certainly lives up to its name! Authentic, classic dishes such as Pad Thai and Panang Curry are served up in generous portions.
With over 20 years of restaurant experience, from Thai to Vietnamese, Khao Neaow's chef and owner can be seen busily whipping up the most delightful culinary creations in her spotless food cart located at the Wallowa Lake Karts. The secret's in the sauce, which she makes from scratch, as well as a variety of garnishes to brighten each plate. The food is so good that locals, who tend to avoid the south lake village in summer for "the crowds" can often be seen here, since it's only open in summer.
Some of our favorites include the vermicelli noodles, drunken noodles and AMAZING mango sticky rice, a dessert not to be missed if you're a fan of coconut cream!
